Cai Rang is the largest floating market in the area. As we know, the Mekong River flows from Tibet (China), passes through Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and flows directly into the sea after Vietnam.

Due to the density of rivers, canal systems, and inconvenient land traffic systems in the past, vehicles the most commonly used by local residents of the Mekong Delta are wooden boats and canoes.
Usually, all floating markets in the Mekong Delta are located at the crossroads of a large river belonging to the Mekong River. The reason is that they can spread easily to find more products and travel to other areas of the Mekong Delta from the corner of the great river.
To travel to Cai Rang Floating Market, we have to reach Can Tho City first. Can Tho City is a large city in the Mekong Delta with a population of about 1,500,000.

It’s not that hard to get to Can Tho City. You can book bus tickets on Phuong Trang Busline or Thanh Buoi Busline or any bus company that we can see in the backpacker area.
After arriving in Can Tho City, to go to the floating market by buying a boat ticket at the Ninh Kieu pier at a price of around 40,000 – 60,000 VND per person.
